Semester 1 Reflection

1. Quality of Work
I believe my work was the best quality it could be. I had a lot of good index prints with several pictures in each that displayed all my different ideas for each project. While I wish my camera resolution was better, I have to work with what I've got, and I believe I got the best images I could out of what I had to work with. My work was not always completed right on time because I am so meticulous and put a lot of effort and time into each project, but the requirements were met and I feel that I fully understood the objective of each task and fulfilled it to the best of my ability.

2. Effort
Effort is not much of a question for me, as I tend to put maximum effort into everything I do. When it came to planning, I sketched out what I imagined my images looking like, and my index prints were usually large because I photographed every new possibility I thought of. I was very ambitious with each project and tried to challenge myself, both with the subject matter and Photoshop aspect. I enjoy looking at other people's work to see what direction different people took the same project in. I have a positive attitude towards my own work because I know I did the best I could do in any given circumstance.

3. Participation
I participated well, showed up to class on time, and worked through the entire class block. Sometimes after I finished a project, before I posted it on my blog I'd go play with it in Photoshop and see if there was anything I could add to it to make it better.

4. Improvement
I mostly want to get better and more precise with Photoshop, but another thing I want to work on is different lighting effects and how they could affect an image and make it look its best. I also want to improve on my macro shots.

5. Adjustment
I'd like to broaden my horizons and stretch my limits even further than last semester with each assigned project. There are a few technical things I' going to sort out, but my main goal is to be better with time management and not finish projects so slowly that they stack up on each other and I have an overwhelming workload.

Suggest an Assignment:
I'd like a free for all assignment. Tell students maybe to take a series of pictures with deep personal meaning to them and use whatever concepts or tools they'd like. This project would be fun because we could use 100% our own creativity and create images that compel us personally.
